In 2016 Rain or Shine Theatre Company produced Shakespeare's Will, with Sally performing as Anne Hathaway, Marianne Gaston as artistic director and Ken Meekings as technical director. The first performance took place at the Cheltenham Pates Theatre Festival on 17th February 2016 and it was then performed  in 15 further venues

Now Rain or Shine is a busy theatre company, and has many productions ready and waiting, but it was clear that there were more performances of Shakespeare's Will to be done, and more audiences to receive the play, and so the idea of Through the Square was born, with the company's own first production being Shakespeare's Will.

​

The name Through the Square is from a line in Shakespeare's Will, and was thought of by Emily Lomax, Sally's daughter and also an actor.

 

It is not however without enormous acknowledgement or thanks to Rain or Shine Theatre Company, firstly for bringing the production to fruition, for the design of the show, for the website (Pippa Meekings), the programmes, the costume (Jayne Lloyd) and the set, and for allowing us to introduce Shakespeare's Will to the Rain or Shine audiences.

And finally, a very  very big thank you to Marianne Gaston, for directing the show and believing that Sally was indeed capable of that one woman show, and without whom this entire project would not have happened.
